Phase III is the name of this project. This project is more of a build rather than a mod as I am fabricating everything but the actual computer hardware.

This design is a modified cube design. Modified in that it will not have 3 equal dimensions. This case I will use for testing new hardware and working out overclocking parameters. It is for these reasons that the case is designed to be easy to access all parts ‘while the PC is in operation’. Also, this design will allow the features of a test bench setup and still allow an operating mode that is cool and quiet.

In all photos the system remains in operating mode.

This was inspired by, well, the army I guess. You hear about a “linux box” or a “KDE box,” well I wanted to make this like an ammo box. The case is old (1998 Gateway) and the parts are old (AMD Duron), but it runs Suse 10 fine and dandy.
