PC in a ?

I built this unit about a year ago because I needed a good system to play Everquest II while on the road (See main Pic). I do a lot of traveling and laptops just do not cut it for on-line games. Besides most laptops cant be upgraded.
This unit was originally built with a spare AMD 2400+ CPU / motherboard that was given to me. I found the Briefcase and the Speakers at Goodwill. The Monitor is a 15” LCD I bought off of Ebay for $40, it needed only a small repair. The system stays cool because the CPU draws fresh air and the motherboard is cooled by the extra temperature controlled fan just below the CPU fan.
Last month I wanted better speed, so I upgraded to a AMD 64 3200+, which is Overclocked about 10%. I also upgraded to 2Gig of Corsair memory and a ATI X1650 video card (also Overclocked).
This unit is a lot of fun to take when flying as at the airport it really gets checked out. The roll up keyboard, trackball & high-gain WIFI antenna fits nicely inside under the Plexiglass while traveling(See “Packed” pic).
It is also a great conversation piece at the local Lan party held at my friends office monthly.
This unit was a lot of fun to build. It was build with mostly used parts. Saving for a few visible screws on the outside of the case you would never know its a portable computer.
