This rig was built in two stages. First was the watercooling, then the paint.
For cooling, it has a Swiftech storm cpu block, a Swiftech MCW-60 gpu block, Swiftech copper gpu ramsinks, a Swiftech D5 pump, Tygon 7/16” tubing, a Danger Den round reservoir, and a Black Ice Xtreme 3×120mm radiator. It also has a Swiftech MCX159-CU chipset cooler, 6 120mm x 38mm Sanyo Denki fans, and UV red FluidXP coolant. The fans are controlled with a pair of dual voltage fan controllers from FrozenCPU. The pump was mounted with a custom made aluminum bracket at the front of the case. I used 6-32 threaded rod for the fan and radiator mounts, and cut and polished aluminum tubing to use as spacers.
I originally planned on just installing the watercooling system, and leaving it at that. However, at the first LAN event I took it to, someone said it looked like a supercharger sticking out of the top. With that in my head, I decided it needed flames. I stripped it down, sanded everything to the bare metal, and laid the flames with Rustoleum enamel and masking tape. After the paint came a few layers of clear. The window was flipped to the inside of the panel, and remounted with polished aluminum cone washers and stainless steel button-head screws. The interior cover is made out of acrylic, and was painted to match the inside of the case. All the fan grills were removed, and the front intakes were covered with FrozenCPU FilterRight filters. To finish it off, I installed a pair of white cold cathode lights, and wrapped the main bundle of wires going to the motherboard in automotive wire cover.
The main components in this system are a P4 650 @ 4.25GHz, an XFX 7800GT, 2gb PQi DDR2-533 ram, an Asus P5WD2-Premium motherboard, a 74GB Western Digital Raptor hard drive, and an OCZ Powerstream 520 power supply.
