This is my first case mod attempt, and it’s for the Gamer’s Challenge. The goal is to take my old dusty computer and spruce it up in a Metal Gear Solid 4 theme. MGS games are awesome and have great artistic style, giving me the inspiration for this mod. I hope it turns out well in this shorter time limit.

This is what I ended up doing with the case.

First, I re-cut the window in new plexi. I painted the entire chassis two different shades of tan, a darker one on the inside and lighter on the outside. I took apart all the fans and painted the frame tan and the blades green.

Then came the hard part, the hexagon side panel. For this, I made a drawing in Autocad, then I printed that out and laid it on top of a piece of car window tint and then cut out each hexagon and applied it to the acrylic.

After that, I took some of the leftover hexagons and used them on the other side panel to mask out the hexagons as I painted that side tan too and then I painted Metal Gear Solid 4 over all of that.
