As they say, Nothing runs like a Deere! Having always liked John Deere tractors and never being able to afford one, I figured I’d paint a pc case up like one. lol

I started off with a small Compaq case and an idea. After searching the net, I ran across a set of decals that would work perfectly on the case. I got them ordered and was off to the local Tractor Supply Co. store.

It wasn’t very hard to find the needed paint at TSC, after all it is a tractor store. lol I picked up 4 cans each of the green and yellow Valspar Restoration Series paint. Let me tell you, that stuff is expensive. lol But, I was already underway and needed the paint.

First, I disassembled the case and painted the chassis with the JD Yellow. Then I sprayed the external parts of the case JD Green, with the exception of the bezel on the front panel which I sprayed matte black to simulate the front grille on a tractor.

After Drying, I reassembled the case, and applied the decal set. The set came with a set of chrome finish decals to simulate headlights, but they were to large. I decided to cut out my own headlights and they worked out perfectly. I even put an add fuel decal on the fan guard in the rear of the case.

Next I visited my local John Deere place and bought a collectors tag for the roof of the case. Mounted it to the case and added a tag frame and screw caps to dress it out.
